Racial justice is not only an issue of criminal justice and policing. It is much deeper and ties in with economic disparity, education, schools, and jobs. We can not begin to have a discussion of racial reconciliation until we first address racial justice head on and work to create policies where we can evolve as a nation that recognizes and values people of color.
The criminal justice system as we know it doesn’t work for all Americans. The discrimination and systemic racism in our courts and prisons sacrifice the most marginalized for greed and we must put an end to it once and for all.
